HOW BLESSED WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE?
No where in the Old testament is God concerned about preparing us for the afterlife. God knew that if we follow his law and decrees, we will be ready for the afterlife anyway. Gods concern for us was prosperity and abundance here on earth. God was not preaching and teaching that you must build yourself a mansion in heaven, God wanted you to have that mansion here on earth. Throughout the Old Testament, God is promising us how he will bless us here on earth now, if we followed his commands. Gods Old Testament, as we know it today, the books of Moses, and the other prophets are like an owners manual on, what fuel we should use, how we should live, , and generally how to take care of ourselves to get the most out of life.
The greatest obstacle, when it comes to receiving all that God has promised, is religion. The spirit that I feel would cost most Christians their place in heaven, or steal their blessing on earth is the religious spirit, or the lying spirit as the church calls it.
This is a spirit that lives in almost all Christians or religious people, if you like. This spirit takes residence in your soul, through the lies that you have been taught your whole life, concerning your religion. Jesus said in John 4:24: “ that we must worship God in spirit and in TRUTH.” The evil forces of the world can only steal the Truth, not the spirit, and the truth is what they are after.
If you teach a person something his whole life, that is what he will believe. To change that belief system is basically impossible. We see great examples of this in the history of our own country, where Good Christians are still racist to this day because it is nearly impossible to change your belief system when you have been exposed to it for so long. We find it more so in religion. If you were taught your whole life that Mary the mother of Jesus is divine and you must bow in front of her and pray through her, that is what you will believe, sad as it may be. Even when you are presented with the truth, straight from the Bible, you will still not believe it. This is the power that the lying spirit has over your soul.
My aim is to present you with the truth. Before we start the quarrel of: ”My God does not care how I do it, he loves me to0 much.” Or “God only lets good things happen, all bad things are from the devil.” I want you to be totally honest with yourself.
Which of the following statements apply to your life so far, and that of the Christians around you:
- You are blessed wherever you go, the fruit of your womb is blessed, and the crops on your land are blessed. Your enemies come at you from one side, but flee in 7 directions. Your barns, or savings are blessed, and everything you put your hands to are blessed. You have more money that you know what to do with. You are not only leaving an inheritance for your children, but also for your children’s children. The Lord blesses you in the house he has given you. You have had abundant prosperity your whole life. God rains his blessing on everything you undertake. You have no problem with health; no health issues what so ever. You and all your forefathers have had long prosperous lives. You never have to borrow money from anyone, but you give and lend to all.
- Bad luck is your middle name. Everything that can go wrong will go wrong. Everywhere you go, bad luck seems to follow. It feels like you have to do everything ten times to succeed once. Your womb is cursed, your kids give you constant troubles, and have no respect for you. Every time it feels like you are getting ahead, something happens and you take two steps back again. You have bad health in the family. At least once a year, someone falls ill. Mother is on chronic medicine, and dad had a heart attack when he was still young. People take from you what you have worked hard for. You are waiting on God to bring you prosperity, but it has not come yet, but wait, my parents also believed that God will bring them prosperity, and they both dead now and it never came.
So if you are honest with yourself, which one would describe your life? The two examples above are portions of scripture taken from Deuteronomy 27. The first one is Gods promise to his children, the once that do his will, and obey his commands. The second one is the curse that he will bring over (get this) his children that do not do his will and obey his commands.
There is another text on how Gods blessing works.
Jacob and Laban.
Genesis 31. Jacob was working for Laban on his farm, and as his pay Jacob wanted all the stock with spots or speckles. All the flock that did not have spots or speckles will remain Labans. Laban agreed to these terms.
Laban was dishonest and removed all the male flock with speckles or spots, gave them to his sons and told them to go three days distance from where Jacob was. Meanwhile Jacob kept his end of the bargain, and tended to the live stock. God showed Jacob a vision, and he did what God commanded him, and all the strong and healthy new born animals had spots or speckles. As Laban saw Jacobs wealth increase he changed his mind and claimed all the spotted and speckled flock in the future. Jacob was happy with the deal and when it was time for the new born animals, they were all clean.
What a wonderful testimony of what God will do for you, if you obey him. My question is: ”Is God changing your life stock (fruits of your hands) so that you prosper the way Jacob did. It did not matter if the odds were against Jacob, his wealth kept increasing.
Yes dear Christian, you read correctly. God bring blessing, or curses on your life. We have always been lead to believe that everything good comes from God and everything bad from Satan. That evil spirits come from Satan. I know that Ephesians 6:12 for we are not struggling against flesh and bone, but against the powers of the dark world, against spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms – not hell, as some might think.
It is true that we are fighting against evil forces, that is what the word says, but who sends these forces, Show me one scripture that says that the Devil send them. The bible states, that God send evil spirits to those who are disobedient to him.
Isaiah 44:6 “I am the Lord, and there is one else. I form the light and create darkness: I make peace and I create evil.” King James Version.
Lets look at the story of Saul, the first king of the Jews? He was Gods anointed and the spirit of God was with him. God ordered him to attack the Amalekites and they totally destroyed them. He went to do as God asked him, except he spared the Kings life, and brought home some live stock to sacrifice to God. God then send Samuel to tell Saul that God is going to punish Saul and take his Kingdom from him, and give it to David. Saul answered Samuel that he did do what God asked of him, and the sacrifice is for God, “Does the Lord not find delight in burnt offerings?” Samuel then answered: ”to obey is better that to sacrifice.” 1Samual 15. Most Christians are quick to say that:” God does not care which day I dedicate to him, or if I baptize babies or grown man, sprinkle water or immerse.”
Saul did everything God asked him, and added something that he new God liked, and God took everything away, because he did not ask Saul for it.
To get back to our story, 1Samual 16:14-16 goes on to say that, Now the spirit of God has departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from GOD tormented him. Saul’s attendants said to him, ”See an evil spirit from GOD is tormenting you, lets find someone that can play the harp. He will play when the evil spirit of GOD comes upon you, and you will feel better.
Haven’t seen that part of scripture before, have you?
The only reason why I share the above examples is to show you that blessings and curses comes from God, not the devil. If you prosper, God is blessing you, if you struggle (as per example 2 above) than you are walking under Gods curse.
Some Christians are aware of this but most are not. Did you know that by making certain changes in your life, lining it up with the word of God and his command, you can change your prosperity, without having to work any harder, save any more money, or make any effort!
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could change your “bad luck” to everlasting “Good Luck,” just by changing a couple of your routines so that they correspond with what God actually asks of you? God promised that He will bless you, if you do what he asks. If you are obedient, and do everything that God command of you (and it is not that difficult) God has to bless you as per example 1. If God does not do that, God would be a liar and that is one thing that we know He is not, and can’t be. So we can try God on this, and he will bless us.
What can we change or do?
There are many things that we have to get lined up with Gods word, in order to receive the full blessing. But there are many amazing blessing that are very easy to receive by changing very minor things in your life.
A lot of Christians have realized the blessing of financial freedom that comes with tithing. That is giving 10% of your earnings to your church, or store house as the Bible refers to it. A wise man once said, God does not need to receive, man needs to give. In Malachi 3:8-12 God explains that if we do not tithe we are robbing him and by doing so, you have brought a curse over yourself and your whole nation. “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me on this says the Lord Almighty and see if I would not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will protect your crops and your whole nation will be blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord.
So God says that by giving our tithe he will bless us and we will prosper, and live abundantly. Those that have tried it will testify that it does work. From the time they started, they were financially more blessed.
There is an even greater blessing for us to receive, doing even less than tithing, just by being obedient to God. A blessing with a bigger promise, and a much bigger reward.
Observe My Sabbath!
Isaiah 56:2 Blessed are those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath day and rest and refuses to work. 6. I will also bless the Gentiles who commit themselves to the Lord and serve him and love his name, who worship him and do not desecrate his Sabbath day of rest.
Isaiah 58:13-14 Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on this day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lords holy day. Honor the lord in everything you do and do not follow your own desires or talk idly. Then I will give you great honor and give you your full share of your inheritance as I promised to Jacob, your ancestor. I the lord have spoken.
Isaiah 56:4. I say this to the people who keeps my Sabbath day holy and who chooses to do what pleases me and commit their lives to me. I will give them in my house, within my walls a memorial and a name far greater than the honor they would have received by having sons and daughters for the name I give them is an everlasting one. It will never disappear.
Jeremiah 17:24 But if you obey me, says the Lord, and do not carry out your trade or work on the Sabbath day, then this nation will continue forever.
I think that is a great promise from God, something that I would love to inherit. And all you have to do, to gain this blessing is to not work on the Sabbath. Take the day off, spend it with your family, and spend it with God. Easy, I would say. How nice would it be to have a weekly holiday? No work, no thinking of work, no washing dishes, just relaxing.
There is if course the other side to the Sabbath, the Curse side for those who do not honor Gods day.
Jeremiah 17:27 But if you do not listen to me and refuse to obey my Sabbath, then I will set fire to these gates, the fire will spread to the palaces, and no one will be able to put it out.
God send the Israelites into Babylonish captivity for breaking the Sabbath.
Nehemiah 13:17-18 “what is this wicket thing you are doing by desecrating the Sabbath? Didn’t your forefathers do the same things, so that our God brought all this calamity upon us and this city.
God destroyed the Israelites in the desert because they profaned the Sabbath. Ezekiel 20:12 Also I gave them my Sabbath as a sign between us, so they may know that I the Lord has made them Holy. “yet the people of Israel rebelled against me in the dessert. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws and they utterly desecrated my Sabbath.
More important than all of this, God says in Ezekiel 20:20 Keep my Sabbath Holy so that there could be a sign between us, that I am your God. Keeping the Sabbath is a sign that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is your God as well.
The Sabbath.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” ”And on the seventh day God ended his work which he has made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he has made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it.” Genesis 1:1, 2:2,3.
And he said: ”The Sabbath was made for man, not the man for the Sabbath.” Mark 2:27.
From the above scripture in Genesis we can see that God introduced the Sabbath in the Garden of Eden after creation. God blessed the seventh day, and declared it holy. God commanded us to observe his Sabbath and keep it holy. We may work six days, but the seventh day is a day of rest dedicated to the Lord our God. On that day, no one in your house is allowed to do any work. Not you, your family members, or anyone working for you. Not even the animals that you keep. Deuteronomy 5:13-15
What is the meaning of the Sabbath?
“16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath , observe it through their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel FOREVER.” Exodus 31
The Sabbath has two meanings. One, it is an perpetual covenant between God and His Children. That mean, that you do it to show God and the world that you are his child.
Secondly, the Sabbath day is a memorial of creation. Exodus 20:11 and 31:17. Every time that we observe it, we commemorate that grand event, and we honor God as the creator of everything.
Isn’t the Sabbath only for Jews?
God commanded the children of Israel to observe the Sabbath forever as a perpetual covenant and a sign that they are Gods children. Exodus 31:16-17. Paul then made it very clear in Gal.3 that, “for as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ… 29 and if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
According to Paul, and Jesus, all Christians are children of God and according to God, all his children need to observe the Sabbath, to show Him that they are.
But didn’t Jesus set us free from the 10 commandments?
He introduced the Sabbath at creation. It was there before the Law. Exodus 16:27-29. Some of the people went out anyway to gather food, even though it was the Sabbath day. “How long will these people refuse to obey me said the Lord our God, do they not realize that I have given them the Sabbath to rest on.”
God felt so strongly about the Sabbath day, that he made it the 3rd commandment at Mount Sinai. God declared the Sabbath audibly to all the Israelites, but God went one step further. He wrote it in stone with his own finger. The Israelites then carried the stone tablets in the ark.
One of the biggest lies, or deceptions taught to us in most churches today, it that the Law does not apply to us any more because of the blood of Jesus. I’m not going to go into to much detail here, on what Jesus came to do for us on earth, but making us free from Gods commands, was not one of them.
In short, Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden and because of what he did we are all born slaves to sin. We can’t help to sin because sin has power over us.
When we are baptized into Jesus, we die with Christ on the cross. Then Father God took away our sinful inheritance, using the same power that He used to raise Jesus from the dead to give us power over sin. Now we are no longer slaves to sin. That is what Jesus came to do, to free us from our sins, or sinful nature, Rom 6:4-14. Paul said himself that he could not live the life God commanded of us under the law. He tried to do what is right, but could not help sinning. His sinful nature made him a slave to sin. 24 Who will free me from this life. Thank God for sending Jesus. Rom 7 14-25. Does having Jesus in your life SAVE you from your sinful nature, and make you a person with power over sin? Yes it does. Can the law give you power over sin, no it can’t? When you are baptized into Jesus, and have taken on Jesus as your personal savior, are you now going to heaven, not necessarily?
Jesus made it very clear in Matthew 7:21. Not all people who sound religious are not really Godly. They refer to me as Lord, but still would not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. THE DICIDING ISSUE WHETHER THEY GO TO HEAVEN OR NOT IS WHETHER THEY OBEY MY FATHER IN HEAVEN.
Loving God means keeping his commandments and really, that is not difficult. 1John5:3
What did Jesus answer the rich young man when he asked, great Teacher what must I do to get eternal life.? Jesus answered him, “Obey Gods commandments.”
Matthew 5:17 “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the laws of Moses or the writings of the prophets”. No, I came to fulfill them. I assure you, until heaven and earth disappears, even the smallest detail of God’s law will remain.”
Jesus taught on the commands, and went into greater depth saying: “You know that Moses said: Do not commit adultery, but I say, anyone that even looks at a woman with lust have already committed adultery in his heart. Then Jesus said: “If you obey what I have told you, you will stay in my love, JUST AS I OBEY MY FATHERS COMMANDS John 15:10.
Revelations 14:12 Let this encourage Gods holy people to endure persecution patiently and remain firm to the end, obeying his commands.
John 14:15 “if you love me and obey my commands.”
I think I have made Gods point. It is as important today, to obey the commands of God, as it was in the time of Moses. Under the Law, if a man worked on the Sabbath, he would be killed. We don’t live under that law any more, so no one will kill you if you don’t. But the word does say that obedience is the key into heaven, and you are going to struggle getting into heaven being a disobedient child.
Final scripture so that we can close the book on the commands and going to heaven subject. Romans 2:5-8 For there is going to come a day of judgment, when God the just judge of the world will come and judge all people according to what they have done. He would give eternal life to those who persisted in doing good, but will pour out his anger and wrath on those who lived for themselves, who refused to OBEY THE TRUTH and practiced evil deeds.
Watch out not to mistake the word SAVED in the Bible with going to heaven. If you have received the blood of Jesus, it does not mean that you have ”Missed Hell and Made Heaven.”
You can only be saved from your sinful nature, being a slave to sin, by the blood of Jesus Christ. That you only get through grace, you can not earn that by deeds.
You can not obey the Law without the blood that has set you free from the evil bondage that we inherited. For that reason Jesus said that the only way to the Father is through Him.
Once you have received the blood, it is all about what you do with it. That is what you are going to be judged on, and that will allow you into heaven or not.
Which day is the Sabbath?
It is shocking that most Christians today think that the Sabbath is a Sunday. In a way it shows how little the average Christian knows about the Bible. The best way to find out which day the Sabbath is, is in the Bible. God said: ”six days are set out for your weekly duties and work, the SEVENTH day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.” Exodus 20.
It is very clear that the seventh day is the day that God has blessed, and has set aside for us. A very good example of exactly which day it is, is found in the New Testament.
The Death of Jesus.
This all happened on Friday, the day before the Sabbath. Mark 15. You will find the same scriptures in Luke, Mark and John.
This clearly shows that the Sabbath is on a Saturday. Christians today honor Sunday, when clearly God demanded that we keep the Seventh day holy. Christians say that Sunday is the new Sabbath, because it is the day that Jesus rose from the dead. There is not a single scripture to support this viewpoint.
In fact in Acts Paul is still honoring the Sabbath, and the Sabbath is still mentioned. “As was Paul’s custom, he went to the synagogue service, and for three Sabbaths in a row he interpreted scripture to the people.” Acts 17:2
“On the Sabbath they went to the synagogue for the service.” Acts 13:14 “On the Sabbath, we went a little bit out of the city to a river bank, where the people met for prayer, and we sat down to speak with some woman that have come together. “Acts 16:13 “Each Sabbath found Paul at the synagogue.” Acts 18:4
What did Jesus do? “And he came from Nazareth, where he has been brought up and as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up and read.” Luke 4:16.
And Jesus said to them;” obey me as I obey all my Fathers commands.” John 10:10.
I think it is clear from scripture that the early Christians and Jesus observe the Sabbath, as God commanded them.
Only the seventh day is blessed, not the first. In fact, if you observe the first day, you are once again being disobedient, because God said that we must work on the first day, as He did.
Does it matter which day we choose as the Sabbath?
Yes it does. “Do not add to what I command you, and do not subtract from it. But keep the commands that I have given you.” Deuteronomy 4:2.
Go made it clear that we are not allowed to change any of the commands that he has made, it is a sin before God. The New Testament agrees with his statement. “Anyone that breaks the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 5:19
So watch out for anyone that tells you different and be careful when you teach. If your teachings lead any man astray, you will be the least in the kingdom. Be careful when you think you have got a revelation from God, be sure that you compare scripture with scripture, and that all of them say the same thing, or you will be judged for it, by God.
So how did it happen, how did the Sabbath change to a Sunday?
Almost the whole Christian world reverences Sunday, did God know that there will be attempts to change his Holy Sabbath and other laws?
“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and THINK TO CHANGE THE TIMES AND THE LAWS, and they shall be given into his hand until a time.” Daniel 7:25 This is a prophecy of things to come from the old testament. From the New Testament there are many warnings of things to come. “For I know this that after my departing, shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves will men arise, SPEAKING PERVERSE THINGS, to draw away disciples after them.” Acts 20:28-30
“For the time will come when they will not indure sound doctrine, but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itchy ears: and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Tim. 4:3-4
Revelations 13 speaks of the same catastrophes happening as in the book of Daniel. The beast will come and rule, and he will have authority over all, he will change Gods laws, every nation will bow down to him. He will be given a mouth to speak and uttered proud words and blasphemies against God. He was given power to make war against the saints and was given authority over every tribe, every language and nation. 15 a second beast came, an he set up and image, everyone who refused to worship this image was killed.
The above scriptures have always been seen by the church of today as things that will come, but lets look back in history at the facts that we have. I am in no way saying that this is the fulfillment of the prophecies but it is very important to look back in history and ask the hard questions. Where are we now? Might some of the above have happened all ready? Am I a part of something without willingly knowing it?
Who will do such a thing, who is responsible for all the confusion regarding the Sabbath, and all the unsound doctrine that we still find in most churches today? To the history books we go!
It is clear, that unfortunately the Christian church was divided from the beginning. The Roman empire provided a stable environment for the growth of Christianity. Soon the conversion of many gentiles started causing division. The gentiles were not happy, and did not know to what extent they must follow the laws of the Jews, that would be the laws and decrees of Moses, which is in contrast with the laws and traditions that they grew up with. This is pertinent in scripture from the Council of Jerusalem 49 AD. After the death of all the Apostils it became more difficult for the church to face the future, soon heresies grew up and the church became even more divided. Within the first 300 years of Christianity, many sects were formed, and many self proclaimed gospels were written.
Between the year 130-200 Bishop Irenaeus, took it upon himself to start organizing Christianity. First, I would like someone to point out the scripture, and show me where Bishops and Deacons are found. They decided on certain doctrine, and started destroying scrolls of scripture that did not line up with his Christian point of view. He was also the person that started to put the gospels together for what we now know as the New Testament.
By the fourth century the Roman Empire was split, and ruled from both Rome and Constantinople. In 312 the Pagan Roman Emperor, Constantine attributed a military victory to the Christian God. Christianity was growing rapidly and Constantine new that having a country that was divided religiously will weaken his kingdom. So Constantine the Pagan emperor adopted Christianity as the State religion.
This is where the big problems started, and where Christianity totally departed from the will of God.
Christianity at that stage was much divided, and Rome could not have that. Also it was now the state religion, and many of the new believers that will have to be converted were in fact pagans, that believed in other gods. What happened next was one of the greatest apostasies of all times.
In 325 the council of Nicaea was held, at this meeting Christianity was being decided on. They voted on what Christianity would be. They brought many pagan believes into Christianity, to make it easy for the Roman pagans to believe in this new religion. They moved the dates and time of God to their pagan dates. Sounds a lot like the event Daniel was warning us against! They decided to change the Sabbath to Sunday, because that was the day that they worshipped their Sun god. Easter, Passover and all the Jewish dates set by God were changed. They decided who and what Jesus will be in this new religion. They introduced idol worship. They brought in the virgin mother and baby religious symbol. That actually came from their gods Herakles and Perseus. They went as far as to scratch out the names of their pagan gods, under the pictures of Virgin with child, and changed the wording to Mary and Jesus.
After the new Christian laws were passed, everyone that did not obey the new Christian laws were killed. One again it sounds a lot like the scriptures in revelations that states that everyone that will not go with the blasphemes of the so called beast were put to death. By the end of the 4th century no original followers of Christ were left. All the scriptures, and scrolls that did not agree with what they were teaching was destroyed and a lot of the truth was lost forever.
Christianity entered the dark ages, Idol worship, great blasphemes against God, teachings that goes against the Bible, and the word of God. The Christians started the Crusades in 1119 against the Muslims and we are still living with the consequences today.
In 1517 a man by the name of Martin Luther stood up against the Catholic Church, and all its evils and the reformation began.
The only problem is Luther took out a lot of the doctrine that he did not agree with, but all the rest was still firmly founded in Orthodox Roman Christianity. That is the reason why we have 27 000 different Christian denominations today. We are constantly discovering more problem, and in so doing, move on to start new churches.
One again the problem with this is that even though the church is bigger today, than ever, and even though we are getting closer to the truth than ever, a lot of what we believe, is still dictated by Orthodox Christianity, and not the word of God, or his Laws.
Everything that I wrote on the history of Christianity, and the start of the Roman Catholic Church is public record, there are many books and documents available on this. I only name but a few facts, to prove my point.
The Catholic Church does not deny changing the Sabbath to a Sunday, but claim that they have the right to do that, and have such authority in religious matters. – Statement by CF Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons, in answer to a letter regarding the change of the Sabbath, November 11,1895. Deuteronomy 4:2 clearly stated that no one has that authority. “Anyone that breaks the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.: Matthew 5:19
Gods Laws and Gods promises to us are as true today as it was 4000 years ago. Gods blessings are still as abundant as the promised us, because God cant lie.
Is there any practical or scientific reason why we should observe the Sabbath?
God in His infinite wisdom knew that if man was left to his own devices, as is visible today, he would work constantly without rest to try and enrich himself. Since God designed man, and knows how the body works, he instituted a rest day, once a week, to make sure that man will not burn out. That is why Jesus stated that the Sabbath was made for man.
This does not only go for man, but also for animal and soil. God said that every seventh year the ground must rest. Any good farmer today will tell you that you have to rotate your crop or else you will deplete the land of its nutritious value.
Dr. Mark Virkler did a study on two identical pieces of land. On the one piece of ground he kept on farming for the eight year, and the other piece of ground was left baron for a year. In the ninth year, he tested both pieces of ground for its nutritional value. The piece of ground that did not have the Sabbath rest had a reading of 1097 DPM nutritional value. The piece of ground that had the Sabbath year rest had a value of 2871 DPM nutritional value. The Sabbath ground had almost 2/3 more nutritional value. We know this now by using scientific experiments, the Jews knew this more than 3300 years ago, how? Because God told them.
After the French Revolution when the Antichrist government took over parts of Europe, they changed the 7 day week to a 10 day week, so that the Christians and Jews will lose track of the Sabbath day. Very soon the donkeys and horses started getting ill and died at an alarming rate. After scientific studies it was concluded that the animals could not take the strain of a 9 day working week. In the end they had to change back to a 7 day week because of the lost of productivity. As someone once said: ”The donkeys taught the atheist a lesson in theology.”
This is also true for humans. Health experts praise the benefits of having one absolute rest day a week. Most people are complaining that there just isn’t time to spend with their loved ones, them selves and with God in this rushed world we live in. God knew that. God also knew that man will not be able to cope without a days rest every 6 working days. When you do not observe this rest day, and continue working, stress starts to build up. Medical research proves that the greatest killer today is stress. Men die from heart attacks at the age of 29, infertility, and the list goes on.
The Sabbath also gives the family the opportunity to spend time with each other, and time for parents to educate their children in the ways of God.
Not one single law or command that God gave Moses have ever been disproved to this day with scientific fact. I wonder why? God must have known something we don’t.
People today think that you can increase your wealth by working harder, they are mistaken. Most people I know (and probably you know) worked hard all their lives, worked weekends, and maybe even second jobs. Still today they are poor. Some people make a quick buck, only to loose it all at a very inappropriate age. Then I’ve also seen men of God make a lifetimes money, with one simple idea or event in their favour. The only way to increase your wealth with guarantees is with Gods hand of blessing on it.
God promised that if you observe his Sabbath you will make more with His help, than you can manage in seven days on your own.
Conclusion
God said that there will be no poverty amongst my people. You will not borrow from anyone, but will lend to many. Christianity is the strongest that it has ever been, but the world is more corrupt, and with more problems than ever. Divorce, poverty, health issues, problem children and corruption are as pertinent in the church and his people as in the world. Somehow looking at all of this, I must conclude that the Christian religion as it stands today, must be doing something terribly wrong because they are not living under the blessing that God promised us. I’m not happy to settle for this half life. I want my full inheritance, everything God promised me. I want everything listed in Deuteronomy 27:
You are blessed wherever you go, the fruit of your womb is blessed, the crops on your land is blessed. Your enemies come at you from one side, but flee in 7 directions. Your barns, or savings are blessed, and everything you put your hands to, blessed. You have more money that you know what to do with. You are not only leaving an inheritance for your children, but also for your children’s children. The Lord blesses you in the house he has given you. You have abundant prosperity your whole life. God rains his blessing on everything you undertake. You have no problem with health; no health issues whatsoever. You and all your forefathers have had long prosperous lives. You never have to borrow money from anyone, but you give and lend to all.
I’ve been observing the Sabbath now for 5 months, and the blessing in my life over this time has been amazing. My life has gone from everything that can go wrong will go wrong, to abundant blessing. If there is a one in hundred change, I will get it.
I’m sharing this word because I want you to prosper. There is nothing more that I want, than to bring the word that God gives me, to others. I want everyone to live in abundance.
I’m going to leave you with the following thought. How many people know that Muslims are also children of Abraham? It is true. Jews, Muslims and Christians are all sons of Abraham. The Muslims have an extra prophet, Mohammed. They follow his writings and the writings of the old Jewish testament, the same one we read. They are strong believers in the law of God. So to the Jews. Unfortunately they miss the blood of Christ that sets them free from being a slaves to sin, and no one that is a slave to sin can enter the Kingdom of God, but they live by the word.
